Last week was a tough week for my family. Shun caught the influenza A virus and ran a high fever of 40 degrees for 2 days. He couldn`t sleep nor eat and cried almost non stop for the 2 days. We had to take turns to carry him and there were times where we couldn`t pacify the poor boy at all. Shun has never been so sick like this before. Takashi and I were very worried and at the same time totally helpless to his screams of discomfort.
Luckily his fever came down on the third day without other serious symptoms like pneumonia. Besides a slight runny nose, he is back to his usual cheeky self. Credits to my mother in law who rushed from Osaka to take care of us. Without her, I could be sick from exhaustion too.
I believe the worst is over and its going to be a great year ahead!

can understand what u going through. my son too was sick begining of the year due to a virus. had fever as high as 40deg.
there's this medicine that can be inserted into his butt when he's having high fever. i got it fm the doc and it helps. his high fever subside few hours later after inserting the medicine. u can try asking the doc for this.
yar doc gave us this medicine too. We inserted twice in his butt.he screamed when my husband stuck it in. but effective and he felt a bit better.
glad that Shun is 'genki' again. Little Win is also having a fever at 38degree. She is alright now. Have yourself a good rest!
