Swine flu

I happened to snap this picture when we drove pass a pig farm few weeks ago. We stopped the car outside the farm to show Shun how a real pig looks like since he loves the song `Old Macdonald had a farm`.

Little did we know that pigs are going to be the center of the most recent mutant virus strain. The world is concerned and many are affected by this virus. My husband is stuck in Shanghai with all business trips put on hold. Let`s all pray and hope swine flu will not become pandemic. And we can return to our normal lives....

Mt Fuji

Mount Fuji is not exactly near to our place but accessible within 2.5 hours. My father in law is a fan of Mt Fuji and he requested to go there after seeing the photos taken with my parents in March.

So, here we are posing at the foot of Mt Fuji again.

Grandparents visit

My in-laws came to Matsumoto for a short visit during the sakura season. We brought them to some of our favourite places that we visit every year.

My in-laws could enjoy sakuras in Osaka too but its just not the same because Matsumoto is less crowded and quieter. Surrounded by crisp air and spring larks, they could enjoy the sakuras in peace and relax with nature.

Shun insisted to bring his book along and read under the sakura tree. He finds the trains in his book more interesting than the pink clouds blooming around him. Onlookers looked amused and smiled at my `hardworking` son.

Full blooms

We enjoyed viewing the sakuras at Matsumoto Castle today. The temperature was unbelievably hot at 25 degrees! It feels like summer more than spring.

Outdoor Fun

Weather has been great for this whole week. Think we can send our winter jackets to the laundry if it continues to be so warm.

Going to the nearby park (walk 15mins) has become our daily morning activity for this week. Shun loves to watch the trains there. I wanted to bring him there more often but was disturbed by the idea of pushing the stroller over the railway tracks to get to the park.

Good news is that the city built a new overhead bridge with elevator. It`s so much safer and easier to go to the park now.

Need to keep our hats on to keep out the UV rays.

Boy loves trains

Why do boys love trains while girls fancy dolls?
