I can`t remember the last time I saw a rainbow.
Last Sunday, after a sudden storm, a beautiful rainbow formed right in front of my eyes.
I hummed one of my favourite songs `The Rainbow Connection` by The Carpenters.
The first phrase goes like :
"Why are there so many songs about rainbows
And what's on the other side?
Rainbows are visions, but only illusions,
And rainbows have nothing to hide.
So we've been told and some choose to believe it
I know they're wrong, wait and see.
Someday we'll find it, the rainbow connection,
The lovers, the dreamers and me."
I love this song for the lyrics and melody. It reminds me of Kermit the Frog and the `Muppet show` which I used to watch often when I was a child.
The rainbow lasted at least ten minutes and then took another ten to fade away.
The memory of it still lingers vividly in my mind.
